How did Eat Drink Apps get started?
We are a group of fellow small business owners in the food and beverage industry who teamed with some very talented mobile developers to build a world class mobile app platform specializing in apps for the kinds of businesses we love – ours! We did so because we were tired of seeing our fellow small businesses pay thousands upon thousands of dollars for mobile applications. So, we got together over a beer or three, and created a way to offer all the same features for a fraction of the price.
What, exactly, is an iPhone and Android application?
An iPhone application is a small computer program that runs on the iPhone. The iPhone can be a powerful marketing platform and SMB Marketing takes full advantage of it. An Android application is the similar but designed to be downloaded onto Android phones.
Do you have a sample app for us to try?
We have created a sample app that has nearly all of our features built in so you can see how they work. PLEASE note, it is unlikely you will want every feature shown in the sample app built into your app, as it will create a bit of a big, confusing app for your customers. But the sample app is built to show many of the features that you may want. We will work with you to determine which features you want and which you may not really need. Ultimately the choice is yours, and our job is to help guide you through the process and provide you with a professionally designed and user-friendly app.

How can I build brand-loyalty for my business with an app?

Further, when you want to send a message to your customers – AND know it will be opened – use the Push Notification feature to put a message right on their phone’s home screen. How much will my app cost?
First, all of our plans provide a professionally built and fully customized app for your business. We will work with you to determine the features you want and need, as well as the overall look and feel of your app. We offer four different package levels to fit virtually any business’s needs. Most businesses are best served by our “PROFESSIONAL’ level package, which is the most cost-effective and flexible of our packages.
Each app requires a one-time development fee and on-going monthly maintenance fee, paid annually or monthly. Annual payments receive a 30% discount over monthly pay plans.
We also offer certain custom packages as add-ons so you can choose what features you want and only pay for what you actually use.

**Please Note: the Google Play Store and Apple App Store require your app to be registered directly with them in order to make it available on their platforms. We will help you get your accounts set up properly in your name. You are solely responsible for the annual renewal from Apple and the one-time fee to Google, as they will come directly to you, not us. We have no control over their prices or billing and do not mark up their fees in any way. The cost for Apple is $99/year and the cost for Google is a one-time $25 fee. All apps in our Advanced, Professional and Premium++ plans require individual registration with Apple and Google. Apps built in our Basic plan will be hosted under our own developer account, as they are smaller apps without advanced features.
How do I register with Apple and Google?
No problem, we will do it all for you, in your name. We will need your help to verify certain information, but it is quick and easy. And, we will make sure that your app is properly up and running on each platform. We will collect the first annual Apple fee of $99 and the one-time Google Play Store fee and pay them on your behalf when we set up you account. You will receive an annual renewal invoice from Apple and must pay it on time in order for your app to remain active. We will not receive your billing notice, so it is important that you renew on time.
How easy is it to get an app for my business?
We make it as simple as possible for you. We will review your business’s needs and goals for your app with you and help you decide on the overall look and features of your app. Then, our development team will go to work building your app. We will provide you with a way to preview your app and request changes before finalizing it and making it live in the app stores.
How long will it take to get my finished app?
We strive to complete your app in 3-4 weeks from start to finish, accounting for time for you to preview the app and make any requested changes. Large custom features, such as a Product Finder with tons of businesses to program, may take a little longer.
How Do I Get Started?
It is easy - just contact us. We start by reviewing your needs and goals for the app and then collecting various information about your business. We will review your website and request copies of any images you wish us to use that we cannot easily get from your website. We require a 50% deposit to get started. We collect the balance due for development and monthly maintenance and any App Store fees before your app goes live.
How can I update app?
Making updates to your app is easy. Depending on the plan you choose, we offer a monthly update (you submit the various updates and changes to us and we do them typically within 24 hours) with our Advanced Plan. Our Professional and Premium++ Plans give you your own Back Office Dashboard that give you 24/7 access to make changes, send marketing messages, manage and change coupons, loyalty offers and more. This gives you total control over your app. Our Professional Plan still give you a monthly update from us; and our Premium++ Plan gives you a dedicated programmer who will make any and all changes for you within 8 business hours of your request.
How do I cancel my account?
Simply contact us to cancel your account and we will do so. Your app will remain live through the period you have paid and then be deactivated.
